1. About This Software
Both TCM Formula Finder and Clinic Buddy are designed to help you find information faster than searching through books or notes. Feel free to add to, delete, or modify the information that comes with this package and make it your own. We're just providing the tools you need to build your own library of clinical pearls, all accessible in a few mouse clicks.

2. Backing Up Your Information
When working with digital media, it's always smart to backup your data every once in a while. To do this, copy the files "TCM Formula Finder Data" and "Clinic Buddy Data" in the folder "TCM Formula Finder" to another hard drive, computer, or other media such as a CD or Zip drive. These files will not run on other computers (due to anti-piracy component) but will be readable on the original machine which TCM Formula Finder was first installed.

3. Restoring Your Data From a Backup Copy
Backed up data can be restored by following the steps below, but you will lose all of the added information since the last backup. Follow the instructions below.

To restore TCM Formula Finder data:
1. Go to the folder "TCM Formula Finder" and drag the file "TCM Formula Finder Data.USR" to the trash or recycle bin.
2. Navigate to the place where you made a backup copy of "TCM Formula Finder Data.USR" (CD, Zip, other hard drive...) and move the file with the same name,"TCM Formula Finder Data.USR" into the "TCM Formula Finder" folder.
3. Start up the program and you're good to go!

To restore Clinic Buddy data:

2. Navigate to the place where you made a backup copy of "Clinic Buddy Data.USR" (CD, Zip, other hard drive...) and move the file with the same name "Clinic Buddy Data.USR" into the "TCM Formula Finder" folder.
3. Start up the program and you're good to go!

4. Moving This Software to a Different Computer
Because of its anti-piracy component, TCM Formula Finder is licensed for use on one computer at a time. Moving your copy to a different computer can be done very easily and as often as you like.
Windows:
1. Back up your data (see "2. Backing Up Your Information" in previous section).
2. In TCM Formula Finder go to the "Customize" pull down menu and select "Deactivate This Copy". Make sure you have a working internet connection. The software will communicate with our main web server and "release" your copy to be installed on another computer. (This step disables the software on your current computer so make sure you really want to move it before deactivating!)
3. Using your purchased installer CD or downloaded installer file, reinstall TCM Formula Finder onto the new computer and re-enter your serial number.
4. Restore your data (see "4. Restoring Your Data From a Backup Copy" in the previous section) and you're good to go!

Macintosh:
1. In TCM Formula Finder go to the "Customize" pull down menu and select "Deactivate This Copy". Make sure you have a working internet connection. The software will communicate with our main web server and release your copy to be installed on another computer. (This step disables the software on your current computer so make sure you really want to move it before deactivating!)
2. Copy the folder "TCM Formula Finder" to the new computer (if you want to keep your data) or just do a clean reinstall from the CD or downloaded file and you're good to go!

5. Damaged Files

4. If this process was unsuccessful in recovering your data, restore your data from a backed up file by using the instructions below (hopefully you made a back up!). If you haven't made a back up of your data do not proceed. You must reinstall the software.
